About Rose Pugs

Hello my name is Carla Rose. I will tell you a bit about how I got started with these wonderful little clowns. I am married and have 2 sons. When my oldest son was a toddler, he was ill and required surgery. After his recovery, I wanted to buy him a dog that would be his friend. A tall order for a small dog to love an almost 2 yr old. But Winnie came to live with us. She truly was his best friend, followed his little push car, all the way up to his first 2 wheeler bike. She slept with him and was a delight to have in our family. I was hooked.

I started showing her daughter Antzy, who became the first Rose Pugs champion. My breeding and show program started to become more successful with DeAnne Little of Dulittle pugs help. She allowed Bourre and Hope to join us, who finished both championships successfully. I gained wonderful dogs, and also gained DeAnne as a dear friend. These 2 pugs are the foundation to my breeding program, and we have had many champions that have them in their pedigrees.

Along with the successes my dogs have had, I have met wonderful people in this sport, and mainly in this breed. I count some of them as my closest friends. I hope you drop in now and then to see what we are doing here at Rose Pugs
